John Oughton

John Oughton has published four books of poetry and close to 400 articles, reviews and interviews. He has studied writing with Anne Waldman, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs and Irving Layton. Born in Guelph, Canada, he has lived in the Middle East (Egypt and Iraq) and Japan as well as Canada. His father, a zoologist, and mother, a botanist, stimulated his love of nature. John is an enthusiastic photographer and owner of a vintage 1983 motorcycle. He is now Professor of Learning and Teaching at Centennial College in Toronto.
