Christopher W. Perry

Christopher W. Perry (1974-Present) was born in Berkley Springs, WV and grew up all over the United States as his father was a US Air Force chaplain. He has been in ministry since 1994 and has served in a variety of positions, including youth pastor, music minister, associate pastor, church planter, and senior pastor. He is an ordained elder in the Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. He earned a bachelor's degree in Geoscience with an emphasis in meteorology from Mississippi State University as well as a Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. For his doctoral program Chris was part of the Beeson Pastor program, a competitive full-fellowship award given to pastors to focus on preaching and leadership. Chris' dissertation won Asbury's Distinguished Dissertation Award For Excellence In Research. He currently lives in Santa Rosa Beach, FL with his wife and 2 sons as pastor of Good News UMC. He enjoys doing martial arts, acting in community theater, playing ice hockey, and traveling with his family.
