Daniel Britton

Daniel Britton has spent more than thirty years in financial education, first in financial services and then across three decades as a teacher and school leader. He was named National Enterprise Tutor of the Year by the Peter Jones Foundation.

He is best known as the creator of The Financial Fairy Tales, the award-winning series that teaches children money values and habits through story rather than lecture. It now runs to five story books, an activity book and a guide for teachers and parents, with materials recommended by Young Money in the UK and listed by the Jumpstart Coalition in the USA. The latest, Three Purses of Gold, follows three sisters who each set out to grow a small sum and learn very different lessons about risk and reward.

In October 2026 Daniel turns to the grown-ups with Mindful Money, a calm, practical guide for anyone who earns a decent living but never seems to get ahead. It pairs real money skills with the mindset behind them, because good financial decisions are personal decisions, and money is fuel for a life of purpose rather than the point of it.

Children or adults, his mission is the same: to close the money gap that school leaves behind and help people take control without fear. He is an in-demand speaker and trainer on financial literacy and enterprise education.
