Lester Rowntree
Lester (Les) Rowntree is currently at Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, where he researches and writes about global and local environmental issues. This second career follows three decades as a professor of environmental studies at San Jose State University. Rowntree lives in Berkeley, CA., with his wife, Meg Conkey, an archaeologist at UCB.
