Traci Dant

Traci Dant is a fiction writer and poet. Her poetry has been featured on NPR’s Writer’s Almanac with Garrison Keillor, and published by literary journals like Crab Orchard Review and PoemMemoirStory. Her work has also been recognized by the Cave Canem Foundation, the MacDowell Colony, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and the Illinois Arts Council.

She has a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Washington University in St. Louis. Her first picture book for children entitled, Some Kind of Love: A Family Reunion in Poems, was published in April 2010.

Traci was born in St. Louis, MO and grew up in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois. She currently lives in Oswego, Illinois with her husband and two children.
