Deborah A. Starr

Deborah Starr is a Professor of Near Eastern Studies and the Director of the Jewish Studies Program at Cornell University. She writes about Egyptian Cinema, the Jews of Egypt, and Modern Hebrew and Arabic Literature. Her writings focus on issues of cosmopolitanism, Levantine identities, and inter-communal exchange in literature and film.
