Rick Jordan

For over 30 years, I have served as a minister. Half of that time has been in local churches where I have been a youth minister, a minister of education, and a pastor. For the last 17 years, I served the church as the Church Resources Coordinator for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina.

I am extending my ministry through my blog (GreatBibleTeachers.com), through books and video training, and through Bible study curriculum.

I have written curriculum for several publishers, most recently for Nurturing Faith. I wrote weekly lesson plans for each Sunday for 6 years. The lesson plans were downloaded by at least 3,500 teachers each week.

I publish books that help beginning Bible study teachers get off to a good start and help the good teacher become a great Bible teacher. I write curriculum that is easy to understand and quick to prepare.

I am a frequent conference speaker and workshop leader in the fields of Faith Formation, Christian Education, Missional Living, and Christian Spirituality.

I am also a published poet. Recent work has appeared in Eno, Poetry South, Pour Vida, TWJ, and Foliate Oak.

I enjoy writing, Americana music, and hiking the Blue Ridge mountains.
