Hello, and welcome to my bio!

I'm a software engineer and architect currently living and working in Orlando, FL. I've programmed in many languages since 1980 developing systems ranging from robot automation systems to data warehousing, web self-service applications to EDI transaction processors. Past employers include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, FMC, Sun Microsystems, IBM, Trimble Navigation, General Motors, and several small companies. I graduated from the University of Waterloo in Canada with a degree in Systems Design Engineering.

My Android experience goes back to the Cupcake days (1.5) and I've been an avid fan of Android ever since. I co-authored Pro Android 2, 3 and 4 and have written several articles for Smart Developer Magazine. Pro Android 3 was selected by Intel for their Recommended Reading List for 2012, and I am very thankful to them for the honor.
