John M. Olsen believes ordinary people are capable of extraordinary things, given a proper impossible situation.
He writes and edits speculative fiction that blends science fiction and fantasy, with a soft spot for stories that leave readers feeling like everything might actually end up okay. When he's not building worlds, he's building things in his secret lair with an alarming number of power tools, applying the same engineering mindset to both with equally unpredictable results.
He lives in Utah with his lovely wife and a rotating cast of grown children and extended family.
