Horror Writer Duane E. Coffill was born in Brunswick, Maine, on September 4th,1973. He grew up in Freeport, Maine. Graduated from Freeport High School in 1992. Duane grew up reading horror, suspense, and his favorite novel, "Salem's Lot" by Stephen King. He began writing at the age of twelve and has written and published numerous titles since then. Duane is a movie fanatic as well. He is the former founder and President of Horror Writers Of Maine 2011-2018 and is the current operator of the Horror Authors Alliance. The success of Horror Writers Of Maine reached its climax when Duane was interviewed on numerous podcasts and Positively Maine with Tory Ryden of Newsradio WGAN at the Portland Radio Group. The Bangor Daily News also interviewed him, and he talked about the group and the group's first anthology, "Northern Frights." The anthology was on the prelim ballot of the Stoker awards and was a Maine Literary Award finalist. Duane also has short stories in "Halloween Drabbles 2014" and in "Halloween Drabbles 2015." Duane, also helped run his first comic con, LeviaCon 2019, with Josiah Pitchforth and Kit Jena. He currently resides in Topsham, Maine, with his beautiful wife, Shelley. He also has two beautiful daughters, Madelyn and Savannah. Duane is currently working on his next writing project.
