Tricia Olsen, PhD, is Associate Professor, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and the Marcus Faculty Fellow at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. She is also jointly appointed at DU’s Korbel School of International Studies. Olsen studies and teaches about the political economy of development, with a focus on Latin America. Dr. Olsen’s current research is on corporate-community relations, which involves the creation of a large-N database of historical trends of businesses’ human rights practices, the Corporations & Human Rights (CHRD) database (www.chrdproject.com).
Olsen has received support from various organizations, including the National Science Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation, USAID, Fulbright-Hays, and the British Academy. Her published work on business ethics and non-market strategy can be found in Organization Studies, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, Comparative Political Studies, among others. Olsen earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
