I am a software engineer by profession. Sadly, I make far too little money from writing to quit my day job. My first writing efforts were for computer magazines: Microcomputing, Micro, Ahoy, Dr Dobbs Journal, etc. Alas, the first three of those are out of print and the last is, I think, now on-line only. I also wrote an editorial for World, a news magazine, and a couple of articles for Creation, an Australian science and nature magazine. (Creation changed some of my American-English spellings to Australian-English. I tell people it was my first foreign-language publication.) I've contributed chapters to books on criminology, economics, and civil rights.
I was born in New York, spent most of my life in Ohio, and now live in Michigan.
