Timothy J. O'Brien, M.S. is an entrepreneur from Tallahassee, Florida, the Director of The Institute for Stress Management & Performance Improvement, a Fellow of the American Institute of Stress, and a Life Member of the International Society for Performance Improvement.
For 14 years, Tim wrote a “Life Styles” column for Knight Ridder Tribune News Service and has published more than 400 articles and appeared on radio and TV.
He has consulted for and presented to Associations and Corporations primarily in the Health, Performance, and Funeral fields.
He has presented at both the Florida Funeral Directors Association (FFDA) & National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Conventions and has authored several articles for their magazines including the cover story for the NFDA’s official magazine; “The Director” (vol. 82 -1).
Tim is the author of the popular continuing education course Grief Management: The Role of the Funeral Service Practitioner, offered by the NFDA. He has given presentations on grief, compassion fatigue, stress and performance improvement.
He is the co-author of the Amazon.com Bestselling Book in the Work Life Balance Category, “If You Have Employees, You Really Need This Book.”
Along with his writing, speaking engagements and social commitments, Tim enjoys taking cruises with his wife of 41years and playing with his grandchildren.
