Terry is a transplanted Kansan who has been living and playing music professionally in California since 1973. After completeing a MA degree in Music Composition and spending brief stints teaching at the Claremont Colleges and at Cal Poly Pomona he moved on to have a successful career as a jazz, rock and roll, and blues saxophone player. In the mid-nineties Terry returned to teaching but continued to perform on a part-time basis.
Today, Terry struggles as a marginally successful novelist (Curse you Borders) and enjoys traveling with his wife Pauline. They are both active in Kidcare International, a USAID organization dedicated to helping children throughout the world.
Terry has taken a years leave from writing to build a wing onto his house and to enjoy his seven grandchildren. Look for two new books from Terry in the fall of 2012.
