I have authored five books on policies and procedures, actually on every aspect of writing policy and/or procedure documents, and how to set up a policy and procedure program for any company or organization in any industry, anywhere in the world. My books are timeless and can be written and published in any format.
My books are:
-- Establishing a System of Policies and Procedures - Primer
-- 7 Steps to Better Written Policies and Procedures - Instructions on using a template
-- Writing Effective and Successful Policies and Procedures - Advanced Primer
-- Best Practices in Policies and Procedures - Best practices in research and writing
-- Achieving 100% Compliance of Policies and Procedures - Continuous process improvement
I take pride in my books because I have written these books based on my work-time experience not as a consultant but rather as a full-time policy and procedure writer/manager. I find that without this first-hand experience, the result is often books or content that do not actually work in real life. My books cover almost every scenario that might be faced by individuals who author policy and procedure documents.
I actually prefer to write policy/procedure documents thereby combining the policy statements with the procedures; this method reduces the redundancy that is needed when the documents are kept separate.
I have been writing policies and procedures for the past 38 years in large and small companies. I have also consulted from time to time for US State Agencies, US State Departments, and various companies that need help with specific subject areas such as procurement or information technology or aerospace contracts. I have an MBA from UCLA and I am certified as a project manager, records manager, forms consultant, and software engineer.
I take pride in my books and I offer stellar customer service. I also give free advice to anyone who asks: stevebpage @ gmail.com. I also provide a free writing format template for the policy and/or the procedure document if asked.
