Dayna Steele

Dayna Steele is the author of 17 books about success, caregiving, life, and the lessons she’s learned from an unconventional career spent asking questions, telling stories, and paying attention.

Her books include Surviving Alzheimer’s with Friends, Facebook, and a Really Big Glass of Wine, the deeply personal and often funny story of caring for her mother through Alzheimer’s, and Rock to the Top, which turns lessons learned from decades with some of the world’s biggest rock stars into practical advice for business and life.

Before becoming an author, Dayna was one of the most recognized voices in Houston radio, interviewing and working with legendary artists including Mick Jagger, Ozzy Osbourne, and members of some of rock’s biggest bands. Those years became the foundation for much of her writing about success: show up, do the work, take care of your audience, and never stop learning.

Her caregiving book later inspired the award-winning stage play The Woman in the Mirror, which Dayna co-wrote and performs, finding humor, heartbreak, and hope in the realities of dementia and caregiving.

Whether she’s writing about rock stars, business, caregiving, getting older, or simply figuring out what comes next, Dayna writes the way she talks: candidly, practically, and with humor.

She believes the best stories don’t just entertain us. They teach us something we can use.
