Ellen Wood

Ellen Wood is an award-winning author, columnist and inspirational speaker who walks her talk. Anyone who spends even a few minutes with Ellen can attest to her youthful joie de vivre.

As upbeat and vivacious as she is, though, it hasn't always been an easy road for her. Five years after watching her mother succumb to Alzheimer’s Disease, Ellen Wood’s own cognition and memory began a downward spiral (she has the Alzheimer’s gene, APO-e4).

Determined to do everything in her power to reverse aging and reclaim happiness, Ellen developed a program of mind/body/spirit techniques that proved so successful, she couldn’t keep it all to herself. Ellen wrote and published “Think and Grow Young,” the prizewinning book which provides vital first steps for rejuvenation and happiness.

When she was invited to help address the depression epidemic of a northern New Mexico town, Ellen knew that a detailed, step-by-step action plan for all seven habits was needed and “Joy! Joy! Joy” was born.
