Eva Poole-Gilson

EVA POOLE-GILSON credits her true beginning as a writer to her high school English teacher in Kenosha, Wisconsin. "He taught us a love for fine literature and the demanding art of poetry scansion. I've been teaching poetry now myself for 30 years, and to teach randy high school sophmores how to scan any and every poem successfully is a MAJOR feat." Eva took a Masters in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she first began having her work published in the small journal QUIXOTE. Since then she's had poems, stories, and journalism published in numerous little journals, magazines, and newspapers--mostly in California where she now lives.

Eva's most recent book is LITTLE STAR SLEEPING.
