Sheila Embry

Dr. Embry completed over 40 years of service including 32 with the U. S. federal government in various leadership positions (officer, supervisor, manager, chief, field office director, district chief of staff, assistant regional director, and associate regional director). She received several recognitions – a Secretary’s award, two Director's awards, three honorary commissions, and others.

She holds three accredited degrees: Management in Organizational Leadership (doctorate), Human Resources Development (masters), Business Administration (baccalaureate), and several graduate certificates – four from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center/FLETC (officer basic, officer journeyman, national security basic, and national security journeyman), two from Langevin Learning Services/LLS (training manager and training director), one from Graduate School USA's Executive Leader Program, and one from the Asian-Pacific Center for Security Studies/APCSS.

Sheila's published over 50 works including academic studies and their related chapters and articles, three personal short story collections, three novels, and three Chicken Soup for the Soul stories. Some of these works received recognition including Gold Winner in Anthologies: eLit Digital Publishing Excellence, Bronze LWinner in Business Ethics: Axiom Business Book Awards and Next Generation Indie Books Awards, Winner in the Education/Academic Category of the USA Best Books Awards, Finalist in Anthologies: Non-Fiction category of the International Book Awards.

In 2023, she retired and traveled to the Mexican Riveria and Ireland. In 2024, she purchased a small beach house in Orchid Bay, Corozal, Belize where she resides with her 15-year-old cat, Cory T. Cat.
