I've been writing code compulsively since about 10 years old, and been lucky enough to get to make a living doing what I love. I have spent the last 10 years building better development organizations by leading and coaching teams using Agile development processes.
I worked on diverse project such as developing Denver highway infrastructure systems with the largest US defense contractor, enterprise billing systems for the world's largest telecom providers with the premiere research and development lab in the US, off the shelf Jolt Cola award winning visual design tools in a successful, small software company, and today I am building cutting edge analytical tools for observing patterns in complete customer experiences in another.
I enjoy working closely with my businesses and users to create powerful tools that people enjoy using. I also blog, when my toddlers will let me, at http://codersworkshop.wordpress.com, as well as do a little woodworking on the side.
I am a signatory of the Software Craftsmanship Manifesto (http://manifesto.softwarecraftsmanship.org/) and the Agile Manifesto (http://agilemanifesto.org/), and a member of the Order of the Engineer.
