Paul Fauteck

Paul Karsten Fauteck is a retired forensic psychologist who lived down an early felony record and eventually received a presidential pardon.

Leaving a federal prison in 1959 with $20 and a GED, he worked at any legal job he could find, made his way into broadcasting and advertising, then, continuing to work full time, returned to school to get a masters and finally doctorate.

Knowing now how much he didn't understand when first resolving to "go straight," he volunteers time to encourage offenders to find a better path and society to adopt more productive correctional policies.
