Michelle Cottrell

Michelle Cottrell is the author of 7 books. She attended the University of Florida's College of Architecture where she earned her Bachelor in Design and a minor in Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude.

She began her career in Washington, DC as a junior designer working her way toward the role of a project manager, earning her LEED AP credential along the way. She eventually landed back in South Florida where she earned her professional license in Interior Design and started Design Management Services (DMS), an interior design, project management, and sustainability consulting firm. DMS has become a prime resource for LEED consulting services across the nation, assisting project teams with the LEED certification process from design through construction and occupancy.

Michelle grew up in Coral Springs, Florida and currently resides in New Jersey with her husband Juan, their two children, and two dogs.
