Judith Kristen

Judith Kristen (1948 - ) Judith was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey and raised in the Northwood section of Philadelphia.

Life was not always easy, and, after some very rough starts and stops, Judy became a most beloved author, animal rescuer, international humane education teacher, and a very happy Citizen of the World.

Ms. Kristen's, "My Name is Henley...my life and times as a rescued dog" and "The Rainbow Bridge...a dog's story" have been embraced by Best Friends Animal Society, The Jane Goodall Institute, and children everywhere. All of Judith's books will find a way into your heart - and then stay there for a long, long time after the book has been lovingly placed back up on the shelf.

Since 2007, Ms. Kristen has successfully book-toured and inspired children with her written works, and highly successful writing programs throughout the East and West Coast as well as teaching and touring in the United Kingdom, and Central Europe.

Judy's latest book is titled: "The Ninth Life... what every cat wants you to know."

It's a beautiful story in so many ways. Mookie and the friends that he meets - from his first life through his ninth - is a story that will fill your heart and help you understand things from our beloved animals' point of view: from their histories, their latest experiences, and what they learned from them. Every chapter contains one of those famous nine lives we've always heard about, and... at the end of each chapter, there's a "What I learned from" page, showing how 'cause and affect or, as the cats call it, "paws and affect" helps them move forward in a more productive, happier, healthier, safe, and more fulfilling way, in their next life. This book is written in Mookie's voice as well as all the other animals' voices. It has heart, humor, love, adventure, misadventure, tears and laughter, joy and devotion. And your heart will hear all of it - loud and clear.

Judith currently lives in the Garden State and is most grateful for her life as an ever-still blossoming Flower Child of the 60s. Completing that life is a long and lovely list of old friends, new friends, and family.
