Jack Wiley

Dr. Jack Wiley is Founder and President of the Kenexa High Performance Institute. Dr. Wiley is recognized internationally for groundbreaking research that links employee survey results to measures of customer satisfaction and business performance.

Dr. Wiley is also the creator of the WorkTrends™ survey. Originally launched over 25 years ago in the U.S., and now encompassing 28 countries, WorkTrends™ is an annual survey of employee engagement, performance excellence and managerial effectiveness. It is one of the foremost benchmarking and employee insight tools available anywhere in the world today and now holds the views of more than 200,000 employees.

Dr. Wiley has written and had published numerous research papers, articles, white papers and book chapters. Most recently, he authored the book: RESPECT: Delivering Results by Giving Employees What They Really Want (Jossey-Bass, 2011). The book shows how giving employees what they want offers huge rewards in terms of engaged workers, satisfied customers and better profits. It is the result of more than 30 years’ research into the subject. Dr. Wiley also authored Strategic Employee Surveys: Evidence-Based Guidelines for Driving Organizational Success (Jossey-Bass, 2010).

A keynote speaker at conferences around the world, Dr. Wiley shares his latest research findings and advice with thousands of HR professional and business leaders every year. He is often quoted in the human resource and national media, most recently on topics including employee engagement, leadership effectiveness and business performance. He has more than 30 years of experience consulting with organizations in the health care, financial services, manufacturing and retail industries.

Dr. Wiley was elected Fellow in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, American Psychological Association and Association for Psychological Science and has served on the Board of Directors for Human Resources People and Strategy (HRPS).

With a Doctorate in Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Dr. Wiley is a licensed consulting psychologist and has received accreditation as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR).

Dr. Wiley was the founder and CEO of Gantz Wiley Research, a survey research consulting firm specializing in employee and customer surveys acquired by Kenexa in 2006.
