Mike was born in Edinburgh ,Scotland in 1952. After graduating from Edinburgh University in 1974, he moved to France where he lived and worked for 23 years. During his time in France he worked in various jobs - English teaching, management consulting, training management, and lecturing in Organisational Behaviour. He also developed a keen interest in French food and wine.
Mike moved back to the UK in 1998 to join Ashridge`s Faculty as a lecturer and programme director. He is now head of experiential learning at Ashridge and has written many articles on the psychology of management and leadership as well as 2 books on Influencing. He continues to lecture at Ashridge, write articles and run seminars for managers and executives around the world. His hobbies include playing bass in a band with Ashridge colleagues, travelling and drinking wine in his garden.
