Samuel Amadon is the author of Like a Sea, winner of the Iowa Poetry Prize, The Hartford Book from Cleveland State University Poetry Center, and Listener from Solid Objects. His poems have appeared in The Nation, The New Yorker, Poetry, American Poetry Review, Lana Turner, and elsewhere. With Liz Countryman, he edits the annual poetry journal Oversound, and he directs the MFA program in Creative Writing at the University of South Carolina.
