Janice Dietert is a master of storytelling who focuses on strong, intelligent women in her romance novels. Early on, Dietert drew from her interest in science to publish two science fiction romances: Son of the Star and Between Two Worlds. As her interests and life experiences grew, she developed a historical romance series, Shadows of the Anunnaki, based on the popular works by Zechariah Sitchin. When life dealt her some harsh blows, Dietert met them with a strength and grace that resonated with those around her. From those intense challenges blossomed her Way Shower trilogy.
Dietert uses a rich mix of travel, energy work, personal experience and even shamanism to weave stories of strong women and the equally strong, caring men who partner with them. Worlds open to her in her dreams and flow from her pen as she writes. Her characters' challenges become vehicles for her own life transformations. Often as she writes, the world of her story opens around her, and she merely has to pen what she sees, hears and feels. And frequently her readers find that they, too, step into those worlds of adventure, often returning at book's end as transformed as is the heroine.
Presently married to her own Prince Charming and living in Lansing, NY, Dietert was born and raised in Binghamton, NY and attended Binghamton University. She earned her B. A. in Literature and Language then pursued a masters focusing particularly on 19th Century Literature - the Age of the Novel - and the teaching of college English. Through the example of master story tellers and skilled professors, Dietert honed her writing and editing skills and now puts them to good use editing science articles and writing the stories near and dear to her heart.
