Daniel Reimold

Daniel Reimold, Ph.D., is an impassioned college journalism scholar who has written and presented about the student press throughout the U.S. and in Southeast Asia. He currently serves as an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Tampa, where he also advises The Minaret student newspaper.

His reporting and research on the student press has been published in outlets such as Journalism History, College Media Review, PBS MediaShift, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Huffington Post, and American Sexuality Magazine. He maintains the daily blog College Media Matters (http://www.collegemediamatters.com), which is affiliated with the Associated Collegiate Press. In 2009, The Nation called him a leading expert on the student sex column movement.

He is a former Fulbright research fellow who has taught journalism, mass communication, and new media courses at four universities in two countries. Most recently, he served as a visiting assistant professor of journalism at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University, home to the premier journalism program in Southeast Asia.
