Bruce E. Katz MD

Dr. Bruce Katz is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and Director of the Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Clinic at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Katz, who has been named repeatedly by New York magazine as one of the best doctors in New York, received his medical training at McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Canada. He completed his post-graduate training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident in Dermatology.

A frequent guest on national and international news shows, including 20/20, Good Morning America, The View and CNN, Dr. Katz is a leading innovator of advanced laser technology, Smart & power liposuction and skin rejuvenation techniques. SpaFinder Magazine recently named him the recipient of the coveted Visionary Award for his work in pioneering the medical spa concept. He has published extensively in leading medical and scientific journals and lectures regularly at medical symposia in the U.S. and abroad.

A national spokesman for the Skin Cancer Foundation, Dr. Katz holds leadership positions in many local, state and national professional organizations. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. He is Past President of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York.
