Pedro Ceinos Arcones

I am an Spanish writer and independent researcher. My main field of interest is the Chinese writing and culture and the culture of Chinese nationalities. From my first book published in 1990 (Ethnic Minorities) I have tried to make foreign peoples and cultures understandable to the general reader. The result is a collection of books that deal with:

- Chinese characters. From my first visit to China I have been working to develop ways to make the Chinese characters easy to study and remember. My first book published on this subject in 1988, of which 18.000 copies have been sold, make me well known to the Spanish students. The last one, Chinese characters- an easy learning based on their etymology and evolution, is the best book ever published to study the Chinese characters. Some simpler books were arranged years ago following the requirement of Chinese language schools.

- Other books, about history (Short history of China), animal symbolism (the tiger, the dog), and even travel guides respond also to my effort to make the foreign cultures more familiar.

- My second theme is matriarchy and gender issues. I published three revolutionary books on this subject and I am happy to know that I put also my grain of sand to the improvement of women situation in our societies.
