Janice Caplan

Janice is a leading thinker and writer on Talent Management as well as being a sought-after chair and speaker at conferences in the UK and abroad. Most recently she was a keynote speaker at the C&D Talent Management conference in Mexico.

Janice believes that globalization together with social and technological change have transformed the way organizations operate and compete in ways that are talked about on a piecemeal basis but still not fully appreciated as a whole. In this new world of constant innovation, businesses must be agile and future-focused. Command and control management no longer works effectively. Tomorrow's leaders must not just talk about the importance of their people and their talent, they must live a new philosophy - which is discussed in her new book Strategic Talent Development.

Janice's ideas are informed by her work as a board level consultant and coach-mentor for international companies, her roles with universities and the UK's professional HR institute, as well as by her formative experience in HR roles with organizations such as International Harvester and Midland Montagu where she was head of training and development. She co-leads UK leadership and HR consultancy, The Scala Group, as well ACE, a consortium of European HR consultancies.
