Gene Pisasale is an author who lives in Kennett Square, Pa., a lifelong student of history who focuses his work on topics related to our heritage, specifically in the Chester County/Philadelphia/mid-Atlantic area. He's written eight books and conducts an ongoing historical lecture series. His books delve into topics from Lafayette and the Battle of the Brandywine to the Industrial Revolution and mysteries surrounding the Star-Spangled Banner. Gene grew up on the Main Line outside Philadelphia, later earning a Master's Degree in Petroleum Geology, an MBA Finance, the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and CFP designations. Gene "semi-retired" in 2010 after working for 30 years in both the energy and investment industries to pursue his true love- writing and speaking on topics from American history. Gene is a member of the Historical Societies of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware, the American Historical Association, the American Friends of Lafayette and is on the Board of Directors of the Chadds Ford Historical Society, Brandywine Battlefield Park and the Sanderson Museum in Chadds Ford, Pa. Gene is also an approved Speaker for the Delaware Humanities Forum. He's traveled to and done research at many historical sites, including Gettysburg, Bull Run, Antietam and Fredericksburg Battlefields, Fort Mifflin, Fort Delaware and Fort McHenry as well as the 'Liberty Trails' of Boston and Philadelphia. His two most recent works are "The Forgotten Star" which delves into true-life mysteries surrounding an American icon- the Star-Spangled Banner and "American Revolution to Fine Art- Brandywine Valley Reflections"- an historical "walking tour" of the Chester County region.
