Rand Bishop

Rand Bishop is a Grammy-nominated, BMI Award-winning songwriter, platinum music producer, singer, and musician. He is the author of six books, an award-winning/optioned screenwriter, a produced playwright, and magazine columnist.

In his 40-year music-biz career, Rand shared stages and harmonized with superstars, while garnering more than 300 songwriting credits, a number by music industry icons and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. The diverse list of artists who have recorded Rand Bishop compositions include Heart, Tim McGraw, Cheap Trick, Beach Boys, Toby Keith, and Indigo Girls. Rand has filled multiple roles in the creative end of the music business: recording artist, session vocalist, producer, A&R executive, and music publisher.

In 2002, Toby Keith's recording of "My List" (Tim James/Rand Bishop) spent five weeks atop the Billboard Country Singles Chart, ending that year as country radio's most-played single. Public response to Keith's record garnered Bishop and James a book contract with McGraw Hill for My List: 24 Reflections on Life's Priorities. Rand has authored and published five additional volumes since.

In 2012, after 35 years living and working in Los Angeles and Nashville, Rand returned to his home state of Oregon to be of assistance to his aging parents. In 2017, Rand embarked upon a 900-mile pilgrimage, walking from Southern California to his home on the Central Oregon Coast. That once-in-a-lifetime adventure is vividly recounted in Rand's 2019 memoir, TREK: My Peace Pilgrimage in Search of a Kinder America. Rand's latest literary offering is the serialized satirical e-book novella, Option (D): Dosing Donald.
