Quite a few operations, too much time in hospital trying to save sight and plenty of pain. Blind in left eye and undergone operation in right eye in an attempt to keep some sight. It has been a battle but battling continues.

Writing books, tutorials and offering the world something back in return for being here.

Part profits are donated to various charities, including Sight Savers International who work hard to avoid blindness in developing countries as well as improve the lives of so many people who are blind.

There has always been a strong feeling inside, a purpose in life, a will, a determination to help others. Whether simple everyday tasks, writing books, teaching, working for others, writing, artwork or anything for the future, it is this strong feeling that keeps everthing moving forward.

Teaching in one of the largest Further and Higher Education college's in Scotland has provided a full understanding of student requirements. In conjunction with Teachers Qualification (Further Education), increased knowledge of learning styles, learner needs and various teaching approaches. Professional reflection and motivation enables a far reaching writing initiative. The teaching background offers something other authors do not possess - experience of students, writing for students and professional learning environment.
