Eric Bauer

Eric Bauer is a Bell Labs Fellow in the Technology Strategy & Portfolio group of Nokia's Strategy and Technology organization. Eric currently focuses technology-oriented and ecosystem business models, including web3, decentralized marketplaces, circular economy and sharing economy platforms. He previously focused on efficiency, reliability, availability, quality and risks of traditional and cloud-based applications. Earlier in his career, Eric designed and developed embedded firmware, networked operating systems, IP PBXs, internet platforms, and optical transmission systems. Mr. Bauer has authored seven books and two ETSI NFV specifications. He has been awarded twenty-seven US patents, holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
