Eric Bauer

Eric Bauer is a retired Bell Labs Fellow. Over his 43-year career he wrote seven engineering books, four industry standards and numerous technical papers. His career included numerous products and offer concepts across digital telephones, PC software, advanced file systems, network operating systems, optical transport systems, reliability engineering, cloud computing systems, ecosystem business models, circular and sharing economy platforms, web3 and AI. He has been awarded twenty-seven US patents, holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. He hikes, writes, reads and works out in retirement, and lives with his wife in Freehold, New Jersey.
