Mary A. Wheeler

Hi! I'm Mary A. Wheeler, and I live in Maine with my kids, cats and dogs. When I'm not teaching at a local school, you'll find me walking the Maine beaches, gardening, canoeing or kayaking, looking for good things to photograph, reading, and--of course--writing.

As you can imagine, I keep pretty busy. Here's a secret: I wrote Over the Edge (which is 373 pages long) one page at a time. I never had more than 45 minutes or an hour to sit down at my computer, so I just kept adding to the manuscript, one page at a time whenever I had the chance. It takes me that much time to write one page because every time I have to go back and review what I did before... Obviously, it took me a couple of years to finish it!
