I went to Europe by way of the U.S. Army as a teenager from my home in Virginia in 1958. Following my discharge, I returned to Germany and worked as a truck driver, bar manager and clerk and traveled widely around the Continent and Turkey. The G.I. Bill afforded me the opportunity to study International Literature, German and psychology at the Heidelberg campus of Schiller International University.

In the end, I earned a Master's Degree in counseling and became a family therapist and chemical dependency specialist. My professional work has included working with juvenile and adult offenders, Native American families, and geriatric clients.

I have been interested in human behavior, literature and writing and painting as long as I can remember. My novel, Abraham's Burden is testimony to my interest in history, culture, human behavior, and social justice.

I recently released BEGOTTEN, a political thriller that examines history, culture and adult romantic relationships. The story takes place in Turkey, Germany and the USA. I am currently working on a poetry collection, and another novel.
