Lee Dorman

Lee Dorman is a long-time broadcaster on both radio and television, and the owner and General Manager of WQKR radio just outside of Nashville in Portland, Tennessee. A former general manager of historic WLAC in Nashville; an air personality, newsman and News Director at a number of radio stations; and a former television news anchor at NBC affiliate WILX-TV in Lansing, Michigan, Lee is also the founder of the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame. In 2009, with information and photographs accumulated over his fifty+ year broadcast career, and his love of writing and history (Lee holds a Master of Arts degree in History, with his thesis on the history of broadcasting in Nashville and Middle Tennessee). Lee's book "Nashville Broadcasting" was published by Arcadia in 2009, and followed a little more than a year later with his second book, a history of Nashville's Jewish Community (yes, he's Jewish). Lee and (Faye) his wife of 55 years, have three children and six grandchildren, and live just west of Nashville between Pegram and Kingston Springs, Tennessee, defending their five gardens and ten acres from hawks, deer, wild animals and neighbors' cats and dogs.
