I've been cooking by microwave for over 40 years and have conducted thousands of cooking classes and had 2 nationally televised microwave cooking shows that aired on PBS stations and The Learning Channel. I've developed, tested, and presented many microwave cooking products and presented these products on the shopping channels; QVC and HSN. Also, I've written 4 microwave cookbooks and a convection oven cookbook.
However, sometimes people complained that some microwaved foods didn't look and/or taste as good as conventionally cooked recipes so I wrote the JumpStart cookbook that combines microwave with conventional cooking to capitalize on the benefits of both; the convenience, speed, and efficiency of microwave with the aesthetics of conventional. Recipes are cooked in a fraction of the time but look and taste as if cooked the old-fashioned way.
