Lane Ashfeldt

Lane's collection of short fiction, 'SaltWater' is filled with short stories inspired by the sea. Other of her stories can be read online at Guardian.co.uk, Southword, and Identity Theory, among other places. Her story 'Dancing on Canvey' set on Canvey Island in 1953 won the Fish Short Histories prize. Lane grew up in Dublin and lives in Ireland, where the sea is never too far away.
