James Headley

James Headley is Pres. /Dir. Of Crane Institute of America established in 1984. Over 30 years in the crane & rigging industry as a crane operator, trainer, consultant and expert witness. He is the author of many books and articles. He serves on the Intl. Standards Org. (ISO), Tech. Committee SC5: ANSI/ASME B30 Main Committee on Cranes & Lifting Devices; the subcommittees B30.5 (Mobile & Locomotive Cranes); B30.9 (Slings): and, B30.26 (Rigging Hardware). Received a 2-year diploma in Machine Tool & Die Technology from Bessemer State Technical Institute and a BS in Education from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, AL. He is married with three children and resides in Orlando, FL.
