I was born and raised in the small mountaintop community of Sewanee, Tennessee. Following high school and college I embarked on a worldwide career with the US Army in rotary winged aviation, including multiple tours of duty in the Vietnam War. Following my retirement from the US Army a subsequent career spanning over twenty years in the field of rotary winged aircraft technology would take me throughout Europe and the Middle East. Following this drama and intrigue filled overseas career, I have since retired to Morristown, Tennessee, where I and my wife and lifetime companion Bobbie now reside. I have written both fiction and nonfiction for various periodicals, short story collections, technical manuals and operational manuals. This is my first experience with writing an entire book, but one which I have found to be a wonderful experience.
