El Ashfield's first illustrated book: Ralph is (not) a Superhero, was shortlisted for the Gateshead Children's Book Award, and won the University of the Arts Creative Seed Fund Award. The sequel, Ralph is (not) a Vampire, was shortlisted for the Royal Mail Award and a finalist for the People's Book Prize, as was her third illustrated book, Ralph is (not) a Spy. Her newest illustrated book is: Trucilla's Wedding Cake, created with her arch-collaborator Corinne V. Davies. It features sibling rivalry, some quite bad ballet, crying rhinos and a very very naughty big sister, with terrible dress sense, who gets her comeuppance in the end.
