I have loved historical fiction since my teens, when I discovered 'The Tudor Wench' by Elswyth Thane. Life having an impace on women - and women having an impact on life. Such a revalation!
I have been married to the man I love for 54 years. We have two grown children, numerous grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and an adorable black lab. (Only the lab lives with us.)
In my writing, people are my focus. Certainly, I am steeped in the historical element of the story, and its accuracy. But it's the people, the story, which draws me. I am fascinated by how different the people were in earlier times were from paople today, and yet how much we are all the same.
Why do I write? I feel I know things most people have forgotten, or deemed unimportant, things that they need reminding of after all.
