My perfect day: coffee shop; laptop; latte; characters demanding their stories be told; a plot that comes together; and hours to live in an alternate reality. It rarely happens that way.

I have always loved reading, and that passion naturally grew into a love for writing. As a preteen, I devoured Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries, and during my teenage years I discovered my lifelong favorite: the romance genre. After years of procrastination, I finally stepped into writing and have pursued it with enthusiasm ever since. I have now written more than thirty romance novels and novellas across contemporary western, historical western, general contemporary, and paranormal/fantasy subgenres. Because I find it difficult to say goodbye to characters who stay with me for months at a time, I often write series that allow me to revisit them from book to book. I have also written a Young Adult novella titled Fragile Hearts under the pen name Colleen Clay.
