Mala Burt

Mala Burt is a member of the Dramatists Guild and is published by Doubleday. Her two paranormal romances, A Dream Across Time and A Circle of Dreams, won Foreward Magazine Silver Medals.

Her Young Adult novel, Big Skye Ranch, written with Laura Ambler, won top awards at the Paris and London Book Festivals, an IPPY Award, and a National Indie Excellence Award. The book also was a quarter-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest.

Her play, The Santa Diaries, also written with Laura Ambler, was first produced in Maryland in 2012 and has been produced in other states each holiday season since.

Mala is a long time member of the Eastern Shore Writers Association and lives and writes on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. When not writing, Mala is on her knees in her garden.
