About the Author
Mario Linkies was born in Leipzig, Germany (1963). After studying foreign trade at the Humboldt University in Berlin, he left Eastern Germany via Hungary in 1989 and immigrated to the Canadian province of Ontario in 1994. Mario Linkies works as an entrepreneur, management consultant, board member and author. He has published several scientific and practice-oriented specialist books in German, English and Japanese. The main topics are risk management and cybersecurity.
Mario Linkies is artistically active as a poet, photographer, painter, musician and songwriter. The author has written well over a thousand poems, fables, short stories, lectures and other texts that were created during his travels in almost 80 countries. The first publications of his lyrical works appeared in 1988 on the German-language program of Radio Canada International in Montreal, Québec. For his photographs, he was awarded in Queensland, Australia.
The poet is a member of the Contemporary Poetry Association in Leipzig and is involved in numerous non-profit organizations, mainly in Canada, Germany, and Vietnam. He currently represents the Lions Club Leipzig Saxonia as their President. Mario Linkies lives in Leipzig, Germany and Oakville, Greater Toronto Area.
