With the book's publication, painter Elizabeth Sparhawk-Jones has received an increasingly wider appreciation in exhibitions, discovery of new works, and in other features including the March/April 2013 Fine Art Connoisseur magazine. Her bouts with depression has also given inspiration to others. Since inadvertently finding her scrapbooks, I'm very pleased that many now know about the woman who went from being the golden girl of the art world to an insane asylum patient and then back to glory in the 1940s.
I'm currently at work on another book, the sharing of Elizabeth's story remains at the top of my daily agenda with book talks, interviews, and promotion through Amazon, and any other social media. For those who've been supporting and sharing ESJ's story along with me for many years and those new to her as well, thank you! A native of Massachusetts, I now live outside Baltimore, Maryland with my husband and three children.
