I wrote this book by faith not sight. I have never written poetry before much less a book. I am an American Baptist pastor. I came to faith in my late thirties. Imagine my surprise to find Jesus wasn't lost I was. My poetry reflects my beliefs. 1. Jesus was born of a virgin. 2. He lived a perfect sinless life. 3. He willingly died on a cross for my sins. 4. He rose from death having defeated satan. 5. If a person calls on the Name of Jesus for salvation they will receive it. 6. The Name is not a magic incantation you have to mean it when you call on Him. All of these poems came out of my prayer journals and are very personal. I don't believe you can say no to Jesus and still call Him Lord. Therefore when the Holy Spirit laid it on my heart to do this I did it. There is not much else to say except the reason for all the different styles of poetry reflected in my book are God's idea. The Lord inspired me with something for everyone. Just as He includes everyone in salvation He included everyone when He inspired me to write this book. I hope you read this and are blessed.
