Consultant, speaker, author and radio host Mark Amtower, is one of the most recognized professionals in the government market. Amtower is widely known for his candor in his articles, consulting, radio interviews, presentations and keynotes. He is also known for all black attire and not wearing ties. His consultancy, Amtower & Company, was founded in 1985. He has been quoted in over 200 publications worldwide and has been interviewed on over 75 radio shows, webinars and podcasts in the US, Canada and the UK.

Amtower's weekly radio show, Amtower Off Center, airs Monday at noon on Federal News Radio (www.FederalNewsRadio.com). Shows are heard on 1500 AM in the greater Washington, DC area, are simulcast and arcived at the station web site.

His first book, Government Makreting Best Practices (2005) was the best selling book on doing with the government published between 2001-2009, selling 9,000 copies.

His second book, Why Epiphanines Never Occur to Couch Potatoes (2007), resulted from a lunch speech he gave at MeritDirect in 2005.

His latest book, Selling to the Government (Wiley, 2010) is the most comprehensive book available on doing business with the government. Most books dealing with the government market address one aspect of the market, like how to get on GSA and sell from a GSA Schedule, or how to bid and win other contracts. No previous books deal with what a CEO needs to know before he/she enters the government market, how to do research on the market, what the failure rate is for companies coming into the market (and why they fail), what it really takes to win, and much more.

Mark Amtower is available to speak at your events and consult with your company.
